Updated October 2026
Most Houston-area photo booth rentals start at about $400, and a typical package costs around $550. Most event packages fall between $370 and $900. Specialty booths cost more: mirror and glam booths usually run $900 to $1,000 or more, and the most common price for 360 video booths is about $500.
These numbers come from our own research, not guesses. In October 2026, we reviewed published pricing from 148 photo booth companies across the Greater Houston area. This blog will detail what you should expect to pay when renting a photo booth in Houston.
Houston photo booth prices at a glance

"Middle 50%" means half of all packages fall inside this range. The other half are either budget options or premium packages above it.
Price by booth type
Booth type affects the price more than anything else. Here's what Houston companies charge for each style, per event:

The table below details what you typically are paying for any of the booth types above:
Booth type | What you get |
|---|---|
Classic / open-air print booth | A camera or iPad setup with a backdrop, instant prints, and digital sharing |
Digital / selfie booth | Photos, GIFs and boomerangs sent by text, email or AirDrop, with no prints |
360 video booth | A platform where an arm spins around guests to film slow-motion video |
Mirror booth | A full-length touchscreen mirror with animations and prints |
Glam (black-and-white) booth | Studio-style lighting with a flattering black-and-white beauty filter |
Vintage / specialty (campers, retro buses, film) | Novelty booths that double as event decor |
Why are digital booths priced about the same as print booths?
Many digital packages include premium features such as branded micro sites, data capture for corporate events, or extra hours. A basic digital-only package is still usually the cheapest way to get a booth at your event.
Why do 360 booth prices vary so much?
The low end is mostly smaller operators offering short time blocks without an attendant. Full-service 360 packages with an attendant, lighting, stanchions and edited video usually cost $600 to $900 or more.
Price by hours booked
Most Houston packages are typically sold in 2, 3 or 4-hour blocks:
Hours included | Typical price | Common range |
|---|---|---|
2 hours | $450 | $300 – $550 |
3 hours | $695 | $500 – $975 |
4 hours | $685 | $500 – $900 |
The 4-hour median comes out at about the same level as the 3-hour median. That's because companies selling 4-hour packages are often running bundle deals, which makes the extra hour cheap. So if your event lasts longer than 3 hours, ask for a 4-hour price instead of adding hours one at a time.
Common add-ons and what they cost
The package price is only part of the total cost. These are the most common add-ons we found with typical prices:

Some other costs you should ask about include:
Travel fees outside a company's home area
Sales tax
Deposits. They usually are 25–50% of the total, or a flat fee to hold your date.
Does price change by part of town?
Price differences across the metro are smaller than you might expect. The bigger factors are booth type and service level. Looking at each company's lowest advertised package:

The suburb numbers are based on smaller samples, so please treat them as rough guides. Furthermore, many Houston companies serve the whole metro.
You should ask about travel fees if your venue is at least 10 miles away from where the company is based.
What actually drives the price
Booth type. Mirror, glam and specialty booths cost more because the equipment costs more.
Prints vs. digital only. Unlimited prints add paper, ink and printer costs. Packages with prints usually cost $100 to $200 more than digital-only versions.
Hours. The first two hours are the most expensive. Each extra hour usually costs around $100.
Attendant. A good attendant keeps the line moving and gets guests to join in. Most full-service packages include one, and some budget options don't.
Customization. Custom overlays, branded backdrops, props and signage.
Date and demand. Saturdays in wedding season (spring and fall in Houston) and December holiday parties book up first.
